COLORED: more than black and white
After the recent elections in the Netherlands, where migration was a hot topic, it is a good time to talk about identity. For my book, I am diving into how our identities are influenced by what is happening around us, "Identity in These Times. What struck me during the election is how important color is in our society. We do not live in a black and white world. In fact, our differences and diverse backgrounds make our society interesting. And funny enough, despite all these colors, we make our choice in the voting booth with a red pencil.
This shows that color matters, even in a world that sometimes seems too simple. On Feb. 14, I will give a workshop at the "Love of Learning" conference. There I will talk about how AI affects our identity. Because with all the technology around us, how do we stay true to who we really are? Let's reflect together on a question, "With technology playing a big role in who we are, what parts of yourself do you really want to preserve in the digital age, and why?" I look forward to hearing your stories and thoughts. Your input will help inform my book. Together we will create a book that truly shows how colorful and unique our world is.
